The seminar is designed to support the work of the members of the informal network of Conflict Prevention Lead Persons (CPLP) across the EU institutions and services.
General Learning Objective: To increase understanding of how conflict analysis can contribute to the day-to-day work of EU policymakers working on fragile or conflict-affected contexts.
Specific Seminar Objectives:
- Recognise the analysis / assessment of conflict as a practical step in EU decision-making on conflict prevention and peace, not just as an information product.
- Become familiar with the key components of a thorough analysis / assessment process and the necessity of gender as a lens on conflict dynamics.
- Connect the components of analysis / assessment with EU policy processes and terminology.
