On behalf of Christian Peacemakers Teams (CPT), the Iraqi Civil Society Solidarity Initiative (ICSSI), the Kurdistan Social Forum, and association Un Ponte Per, we wish to share with you this invitation to attend a meeting for the launch of our joint campaign “End Cross-Border Bombings in Iraqi Kurdistan”.

The campaign aims at raising international awareness on the dramatic ongoing situation of civilians and local communities in Iraqi Kurdistan whose daily lives and economic activities have been constantly disrupt or endangered by the unlawful bombings and military operations carried out by both Turkey and Iran over the last 30 years.

Given the trans-national scope of this campaign, and considering the potential of international civil society mobilising for justice, we are eager to engage with different civil society organisations, research & policy institutes and NGOs working on human rights and disarmament across different countries to amplify the demands for justice and peace arising from Iraqi Kurdistan.

By bringing together local Iraqi/Kurdish and international organisations and institutes, the joint work on this campaign represents a precious occasion for all the actors involved to share experience and practices, and make a valuable contribution to the international commitment to disarmament, just peace, and solidarity among peoples.
