This workshop is organised under the framework of the ‘EU-CIVCAP’ project by EPLO and the EU Satellite Centre.
The workshop will serve as a platform to introduce the main findings of recent research on EU capabilities for conflict prevention and technological shortcomings in conflict early warning and conflict analysis conducted respectively by EPLO and the EU Satellite Centre as members of the consortium of EU-CIVCAP.
This event will contribute to the project’s key objectives:
- To assess EU civilian capabilities for external conflict prevention and peacebuilding.
- To identify and document lessons learned and best practices in EU conflict prevention and peacebuilding.
- To enhance future policy practice and research on EU conflict prevention and peacebuilding.
The roundtable discussion will bring together 30-40 participants, including EU policy-makers, representatives of civil society peacebuilding organisations and academics as well as members of the consortium EU-CIVCAP. The meeting will take place in English.
Please note that registration for this workshop is closed.
The workshop will end with a sandwich lunch and will be followed by another workshop organised by the UACES Collaborative Research Network entitled ‘EU mediation practice, the Comprehensive Approach and the Global Strategy: review and outlook’ (14:00-17:30).
