A series of panel discussions over two afternoons will examine past and current practice in peace making, peace building and reconciliation work, with a particular focus on Europe and the neighbouring regions.
This conference, organised by the European University Institute in partnership with the John & Pat Hume Foundation, is guided by the theme of ‘Leadership for Peaceful Change’. A series of panel discussions over two afternoons, on 1 -2 July 2021, will examine past and current practices in peace making, peace building and reconciliation work in a range of diverse contexts, with a particular focus on Europe and the neighbouring regions.
The conference discussions will identify critical lessons that can be learned from experience of peace related work. The panels, guided by experienced moderators, will identify what are the critical enabling factors to ensure that lessons learned can be applied in the pursuit of achieving successful leadership for peaceful change.
