22/11/2017: EPLO published a statement entitled ‘Supporting Youth, Peace and Security in the renewed AU-EU Partnership‘. The purpose of this statement is to provide suggestions to enhance the European Union’s support to youth, peace and security in the framework of the AU-EU Partnership, in particular in the context of the Joint Africa-EU Strategy’s ‘Peace and Security’ priority area.
25/09/2017: The EPLO office is sad to hear about the passing of Ms Nancy Dupree earlier this month. We had the honour of hosting her for a Brown Bag Lunch discussion in Brussels in December 2015.
21/09/2017: To mark the International Day of Peace, EPLO has signed a statement together with 131 peacebuilding organisations around the globe calling for greater commitment to the 2030 Agenda and to sustaining peace.

09/05/2017: EPLO has sent a letter with regard to the European Commission’s (EC) proposal to amend the Instrument contributing to Stability and Peace (IcSP) to enable the EU to support ‘Capacity Building for Security and Development’ (CBSD) to all members and substitute members of the European Parliament’s Committee on Foreign Affairs (AFET).
24/04/2017: EPLO is delighted to welcome two new member organisations: Partners Bulgaria and RCN Justice et Démocratie. Their membership applications were approved by the EPLO General Assembly during its meeting on 20 April 2017 in Brussels, Belgium.

30/09/2016: EPLO published a briefing paper on the EU’s Policy and Programming on Preventing/Countering Violent Extremism (PVE/CVE).
29/07/2016: EPLO and the Norwegian Peacebuilding Resource Centre (NOREF) co-organised a seminar entitled ‘The Colombian Peace Process: State of Play of Negotiations and Challenges Ahead‘, a few days after the historic ceasefire agreement between FARC and the Colombian government. The meeting report is now available along with the latest NOREF-Conciliation Resources publication on the subject entitled ‘Innovations in the Colombian Peace Process‘ by Kristian Herbolzheimer.
27/06/2016: The report of the advocacy meeting on risks and opportunities of conflict prevention in Latin America held in Bogotá, Colombia in March 2016 is available (English – Spanish). This meeting was co-organised by EPLO and the International Crisis Group in the framework of the Strengthening Early Warning and Mobilising Early Action Project. 14/06/2016: EPLO published a statement entitled ‘Taking Forward the Post-2015 Peace Goal‘. The purpose of this statement, which is a follow-up to the 2013 statement ‘Putting Peace at the Heart of the Post-2015 Framework‘, is to assess the extent to which EPLO’s recommendations from 2013 were incorporated into the 2030 Agenda and the accompanying Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).
