29/07/2016: EPLO and the Norwegian Peacebuilding Resource Centre (NOREF) co-organised a seminar entitled ‘The Colombian Peace Process: State of Play of Negotiations and Challenges Ahead, a few days after the historic ceasefire agreement between FARC and the Colombian government. The meeting report is now available along with the latest NOREF-Conciliation Resources publication on the subject entitled ‘Innovations in the Colombian Peace Process by Kristian Herbolzheimer.

27/06/2016: The report of the advocacy meeting on risks and opportunities of conflict prevention in Latin America held in Bogotá, Colombia in March 2016 is available (English – Spanish). This meeting was co-organised by EPLO and the International Crisis Group in the framework of the Strengthening Early Warning and Mobilising Early Action Project. You can watch Latin American civil society experts sharing insights into the discussions in this video.

14/06/2016: EPLO published a statement entitled ‘Taking Forward the Post-2015 Peace Goal‘. The purpose of this statement, which is a follow-up to the 2013 statement ‘Putting Peace at the Heart of the Post-2015 Framework‘, is to assess the extent to which EPLO’s recommendations from 2013 were incorporated into the 2030 Agenda and the accompanying Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).

31/05/2016: EPLO has sent a letter on the upcoming EU Global Strategy on Foreign and Security Policy to High Representative / Vice-President Federica Mogherini.

29/04/2016: EPLO is delighted to welcome a new member organisation: the Institute for Integrated Transitions. Its membership application was approved by the EPLO General Assembly during its meeting on 28 April 2016 in Brussels, Belgium.

08/03/2016: On the occasion of the 2016 International Women’s Day, EPLO has published a statement entitled: ‘Where are the EU’s Women Leaders in Foreign Affairs? One Year On.

21/12/2015: On 14 December, the EPLO office organised an ‘Introduction to EPLO‘ session for representatives of new member organisations and new staff members of existing member organisations.

12/10/2015: EPLO is delighted to welcome two new member organisations: the European Institute of Peace and TIDES Training & Consultancy. Their membership applications were approved by the EPLO General Assembly during its meeting on 7 October 2015 in Brussels, Belgium.

27/04/2015: EPLO is delighted to welcome three new member organisationsConcordis International, the Community of Sant’Egidio and the Guerrand-Hermès Foundation for Peace. Their membership applications were approved by the EPLO General Assembly during its meeting on 24 April 2015 in London, UK.

17/04/2015: On 14 April, EPLO Executive Director Sonya Reines-Djivanides and EPLO Senior Policy Officer Ben Moore made a presentation on support for peacebuilding and conflict prevention in the EU’s external funding instruments to the European Parliament’s Working Group on External Financial Instruments.
