EPLO Member Organisation Event – I have not known the taste of safety for ten years: Syrians trying to survive in Lebanon and Syria

17th November 2021 @ 15:00 - 16:30 CET

Refugee Protection Watch is a coalition of 5 organisations – Basmeh & Zeitooneh, ALEF – Act for Human Rights, PAX, Upinion, and 11.11.11 – which undertakes long-term research and advocacy on the protection situation inside Syria for returnees, and for Syrian refugees living in Lebanon.

During the event, the RPW coalition will present its main findings of 5 research cycles into the protection situation of Syrian refugees in Lebanon and 2 research cycles on the situation of refugees who returned to Syria. There will be a keynote speech by Beirut-based human rights organisation Access Centre for Human Rights which will address the prospects of Syrian refugees in Lebanon. There will also be participation of some of RPW’s research participants in Lebanon through a live interaction platform.

The launch will be online, on Wednesday 17 November, from 15.00 – 16.30 CET. If you would like to attend, please RSVP using this link, before Tuesday 16 November, 12.00 CET.

Ahead of the event you will receive a more detailed program, the zoom link and the report afterwards. This one-page visualisation includes RPW’s recent findings of a recent research cycle inside Syria.
