This Thursday, July 29th, at 16 CET, Dr. Clem McCartney, Melanie Hussak, and Dr. Ran Kuttner, members of the Next Generation Shared Societies Theory & Practice network, will lead the M&E Thursday Talk discussion on “Shared Societies as a Framework for Project Planning and Monitoring”.
First articulated 15 years ago as a vision and template for an inclusive, resilient, and sustainable society, the Concept of Shared Societies has since developed into an analytical tool which is valuable in many different contexts. This evolution of the concept resulted from the creation of a detailed and comprehensive compilation of the characteristics of a Shared Society and the requirements needed to achieve it.
In this discussion, the hosts will introduce the key elements of the Concept of Shared Societies, exploring how this holistic and comprehensive concept encourages analysis of the impact of interventions with the ultimate goal of diminishing unintended consequences. They will discuss how it can be a valuable tool to use in multiple contexts, such as when implementing critical social analysis, designing peace agreements, developing peacebuilding programs, and much more.
