Gender, Peace and Security
EPLO’s Gender, Peace and Security (GPS) Working Group promotes the integration of gender perspectives into all aspects of EU peacebuilding and conflict prevention.
The group focuses on addressing the gendered and intersectional dimensions of conflict, amplifying women’s leadership, and fostering inclusive, equitable peacebuilding practices at every stage of policymaking and programming.
The Gender, Peace and Security Working Group focuses on:
- Provides a collaborative platform that acts as a conduit for gender expertise and advice on GPS into all EU institutions;
- Channels and supports the contributions of women from conflict-affected countries into EU peace and security policies;
- Focuses on strengthening EU capacity to incorporate gender-responsive conflict analysis and promote women’s leadership in peacebuilding;
- Aims to support the integration of the EU WPS agenda and Gender Action Plan III across EU policies and practices.
