Danish civil society organisations working on peacebuilding gathered in Copenhagen to exchange ideas on how Denmark can strengthen its conflict prevention and peacebuilding agenda within the European Union.
The roundtable focused in particular on opportunities linked to the Danish Presidency of the Council of the EU. Participants reflected on possible ways NGOs could influence policy discussions and support stronger EU engagement on peacebuilding.
Eighteen representatives took part in the one-day exchange. Many came from organisations with broader mandates that combine peacebuilding with humanitarian or development work.
