Gender, Peace and Security was the central theme of this three-day CSDN Training Seminar in Brussels. The programme aimed to deepen participants’ understanding of how the European Union addresses conflict prevention and peacebuilding through gender-related policy frameworks.
Sessions explored connections between EU external action, the Gender, Peace and Security agenda and the broader Women, Peace and Security commitments.
The seminar combined interactive plenary discussions and smaller working groups. Participants also visited the European Parliament as part of the programme.
Twenty-six representatives from peacebuilding organisations attended, including participants from Brussels-based organisations as well as groups based elsewhere in Europe and beyond. Attendance was based on an application process.
