This online CSDN Training Seminar focused on strengthening participants’ understanding of the European Union as a foreign policy actor, particularly in the areas of conflict prevention and peacebuilding.
The session examined the EU’s institutional capacity and the geographic dimensions of its engagement in third countries, including the role played by EU Delegations. Participants also reflected on the challenges the EU faces in delivering effective peacebuilding support.
Through practical examples, the seminar introduced ways civil society organisations can work for stronger EU policies and programmes, while also engaging more effectively with EU Delegations.
Twenty representatives from peacebuilding organisations based outside the EU took part in the seminar.
