FIM NDICI-GE

This report summarises discussions from a Civil Society Dialogue Network (CSDN) Funding Instruments Meeting held in Brussels on 3 October 2024. The meeting was organised by EPLO at the request of the European Commission’s Service for Foreign Policy Instruments and the European External Action Service. It brought together 113 participants, including civil society experts and officials from the European Commission and the EEAS, to gather civil society input for the preparation of the Multiannual Action Programme (MAP) 2025–2026 under the NDICI-Global Europe Thematic Programme on Peace, Stability and Conflict Prevention.

Participants discussed priorities for future EU funding related to conflict prevention and peacebuilding. Discussions addressed issues such as localisation and citizen engagement in conflict prevention, maritime security and mediation, natural resource management in fragile contexts, the Women, Peace and Security agenda in relation to preventing violent extremism, and the links between climate change, peace and security. The meeting also examined funding approaches, cooperation with civil society organisations, and ways to strengthen conflict-sensitive programming.
