On Tuesday 10 June 2025 at 12:30-14:00 CET, CMI, in co-organisation with EPLO, hosted an informal exchange with CMI’s experts from Moldova, Natalia Djandjgava (Country Manager, CMI) and Stephen Young (Senior Advisor, CMI).
They offered first-hand insights into some of the most pressing developments for peace and stability in the country and the region. With parliamentary elections approaching, they examined potential threats, likely scenarios, and political dynamics. The discussion also explored Moldova’s EU accession path, focusing on significant challenges and emerging opportunities, as well as recent developments in Transdniestria and Gagauzia. This was an opportunity not only to learn directly from those directly engaged in these processes, but also to reflect, ask questions, and exchange views in an open and interactive setting.
