On 17 April 2026, EPLO held its Annual General Assembly, bringing together its 50+ member organisations from across Europe.
The Assembly marked a significant moment for the network. Members elected new Steering Committee representatives and formally adopted the EPLO Strategy 2026–2030, Keeping Peace on the Agenda, a five-year roadmap developed through a collaborative and participatory process involving EPLO staff, the Steering Committee and the wider membership. The strategy sets out three core objectives: expanding a robust, connected European network; promoting political support for a peace-centred understanding of security; and supporting improved European peace-responsive action.
Members also voted to approve the applications of nine new member organisations, further strengthening the network’s collective expertise in conflict prevention, peacebuilding, mediation, and human rights. The new members bring a breadth of perspectives and geographic reach that reflects the diversity of the European peacebuilding sector.
The strong engagement of members throughout the Assembly, and across the strategy development process, reflects a shared sense of purpose and commitment at a time when the case for peacebuilding needs to be made more clearly than ever.
