GPPAC – Roundtable discussion with Palestinian peacebuilding organisations

Our member, the Global Partnership for the Prevention of Armed Conflict (GPPAC), is supporting a consortium of three Palestinian peacebuilding organisations. The three organisations have been implementing a project titled Palestinian Women Lead the Way: A Roadmap to Reconciliation, focusing on supporting and amplifying Palestinian women’s voices to take an active role in peacebuilding and reconciliation in Palestine.

As a part of this project, GPPAC facilitated an advocacy tour of six (6) young Palestinian women advocates from Gaza, the West Bank and East Jerusalem who spoke about their lived realities on the ground, the beneficiaries they have been working with and recommendations on how peace efforts in Palestine can be strengthened from the Palestinian young women’s perspective.

As part of their mission, the group spoke to a range of stakeholders in the Netherlands, Brussels, and Geneva. EPLO and GPPAC convened this roundtable discussion to share the perspective of Palestinian young women on what is needed to lay the groundwork for a peace process in the Occupied Palestinian Territory. The project and the advocacy mission are financially supported by the Rapid Response Window (RRW) of the United Nations Women Peace and Humanitarian Fund.
