NGO Roundtable Meeting in The Netherlands  – Dutch Perspectives on Peacebuilding in a Changing Landscape of EU External Action

Date: Tuesday, 19 November 2024
Time: 10.15 – 16.30 CET
Location: The Hague Humanity Hub, Fluwelen Burgwal 58, 2511CJ, The Hague, Netherlands

Objectives and Format

The overall objective of this CSDN NGO Roundtable meeting (RTM) is to enable  representatives of Dutch-based peacebuilding NGOs to exchange together on two  areas 1) the political context for peacebuilding with the current Dutch  Government and 2) Dutch government engagement with the EU on peace and  fragility in external action. The exchanges will help participants to have a better  collective understanding of the challenges and opportunities for increased advocacy  on peacebuilding support towards the Dutch Government and European Union.

The NGO Roundtable will be held as a facilitated half-day meeting under the Chatham  House Rule.1.

The first session will take the form of a roundtable discussion. During the second  session, participants will first join World Café small group discussions to ensure the  maximum amount of exchange with the number of participants. Participants will  subsequently feed the small group results back to the plenary in a roundtable dialogue.

Participants

The meeting will bring together about 40 participants from Dutch-based Peacebuilding  NGOs. A group lunch will be provided for all participants.
