This CSDN Policy Meeting brought together EU policymakers, civil society experts and representatives from Member States and the United Nations to discuss the evolving global landscape for peace mediation and explore how the EU can play a stronger, more principled role.
The day was structured around two facilitated sessions. The first examined the current state of mediation, how the space for traditional approaches is shifting, and where the EU and its partners should focus their efforts. The second turned to lessons from practice, exploring what has worked in connecting high-level political dialogue with grassroots processes, and how the EU can strengthen its mediation architecture in the current context.
