How Peace Education can contribute to preventing violent conflict and sustaining peace
Sustainable Development Goal (SDG) 4.7 anchors Peace Education in a recognised international policy framework as a peace and development tool. Given the EU’s commitment to the implementation of SDGs and its Integrated Approach to External Conflicts and Crisis , the EU’s promotion of Peace Education subscribes to its long-term engagement for transformative peacebuilding. This InfoPoint will address the status of peace education, how it applies to a region such as the Great Lakes and it will propose ways that the EU can advance it as an efficient conflict prevention tool.
