EU Support for Peace Processes
EPLO’s Ad Hoc Group on EU Support to Peace Processes was launched in November 2011.
Definition
For this ad hoc group, a peace process shall include the activities around a peace agreement:
- Pre-agreement stage (including e.g. bringing the conflict parties to the table for negotiations, etc.);
- Peace agreement drafting / negotiations / analysis / signature / endorsement; and
- Implementation of the peace agreement.

- In November 2020, EPLO organised a Civil Society Dialogue Network Policy Meeting entitled ‘Peace Mediation Guidelines: Expert working meeting‘
- In June 2020, EPLO published a statement entitled ‘Strengthening EU Support to Peace Mediation‘.
- In February 2020, EPLO organised a Civil Society Dialogue Network Policy Meeting entitled ‘Strengthening the EU’s role in mediation: Gathering civil society input‘.
- In June 2019, EPLO has produced a set of videos featuring interviews with women mediators. More
- In March 2019, EPLO organised a Civil Society Dialogue Network Policy Meeting entitled ‘EU Support to Women Mediation: Moving beyond stereotypes‘.
