Drawing on three years of field research and engagement with key decision-makers, including from across the EU institutions, civil society experts and the wider diplomatic community, the event will offer the opportunity to:
- Identify lessons learned, challenges and opportunities in the field of early warning and early action in an increasingly fragmented yet interconnected world;
- Discuss the role of different actors in early warning, including the EU, civil society and regional organisations, as well as the state of play of early warning systems in Europe;
- Discuss how to collectively narrow the distance between early warning and early action.
Speakers and participants will include Crisis Group’s President and senior experts, EPLO’s Executive Director, EU and Member States representatives, as well as civil society experts.
