Gender sensitivity is essential to inclusive and effective peacebuilding. However, including gender in policies and programmes can be a hard task. In order to respond to this challenge, Conciliation Resources developed a Gender & conflict analysis toolkit for peacebuilding practitioners. A complementary toolkit has been developed by Saferworld: “Gender in Conflict Analysis”.
In this Brown Bag Lunch discussion, Sanne Tielemans and Hannah Wright will present what gender analysis in the field of peacebuilding and conflict prevention involves and how it can be done. A hard copy of the toolkits will be distributed to registered participants.
Sanne Tielemans is Senior Adviser, Policy & Practice at Conciliation Resources. She is the author of the Gender & Conflict Analysis toolkit. Hannah Wright is Gender, Peace and Security Adviser at Saferworld.
Participants are welcome to bring their own lunch and EPLO will provide tea and coffee. Please note that seats are limited and registration is mandatory.
Please RSVP to Colin Cogitore if you would like to participate.
