2022 has been a year of perpetual crisis in relations between Kosovo and Serbia, culminating in barricades and mass resignations by Kosovo Serbs in the north from Kosovo institutions. Whilst the EU and US believe there is an important window of opportunity to finalise an agreement on the normalisation of relations, recent tensions have undermined the trust and relationships forced in the decade since the Brussels Agreement.

During this in-person Brown Bag Lunch discussion, representatives of civil society organisations (CSOs) from Kosovo and Serbia will share perspectives and offer insights as to how civil society can contribute to defusing tensions and improving understanding about particular issues and how they are perceived.

Each CSO is part of a Rapid Response Mechanism, developed by Peaceful Change initiative, to stand-up against divisive narratives/rhetoric and to advocate for human-centered approaches to the Belgrade-Pristina dialogue.
