The ‘European Partnership for Children and Youth in Peacebuilding’ is an informal coalition created with the purpose of advancing the work of the Global Partnership of Children and Youth at the European Union level. It promotes EU action in relation to children and youth’s engagement in policy processes and activities related to peace-building, including in fragile contexts.

A multi-country, multi-donor, multi-agency (“3M”) evaluation was conducted by the Global Partnership, which assessed the contribution of young peacebuilders to achieving sustainable peace in their countries. The children and youth-led consultations were held in Nepal, the DRC, and Colombia.

This event showcases the results of the evaluation and facilitates an exchange of views on how young people’s involvement in peaceful change can be promoted, and how this can best be operationalised in EU programming. The discussions will be framed by the major global policy frameworks concerning young people’s active participation in peacebuilding, especially the UN Security Council Resolution 2250 adopted 16th December 2015.

The event is organised by the European Partnership for Children and Youth in Peacebuilding, Search for Common Ground and World Vision International.
