EPLO MEMBER ORGANISATION EVENT – M & E Thursday Talk: Counting Critically to Achieve SDG16: The Crucial Ingredients of Follow Up & Review Processes

22nd September 2016 @ 16:00 - 16:45 CEST

‘Counting Critically to Achieve SDG16: The Crucial Ingredients of Follow Up & Review Processes’ is part of a webinar series on M&E and Ethics in the Digital Age which DME for Peace are hosting. DME for Peace is a global community of practitioners, evaluators, donors, and academics who share best and emerging practices on how to design, monitor, and evaluate peacebuilding programs. Through greater collaboration and transparency we hope to increase the effectiveness of the peacebuilding field.

In this webinar, Dorothy and Stefano will talk about the pros and cons of the current framework proposed by the Inter-Agency and Expert Group on SDG Indicators (IAEG – SDGs) to assess what progress has been made against Goal 16. In doing so they will explore the targets which have a robust methodology and those which will fall short in making a comprehensive assessment. To this regard, they will pay particular attention to the role that evaluation can play in filling those gaps by referring to international literature and their experience on the ground.
